Walker Takes Antarctica

I’d begun to hope Paul Walker had fallen off the face of the Earth, or was perhaps fatally injured in a tragic ironing accident. After all, I’ve seen a lot of Paul Walker casting rumors float across my computer screen in the past year, but most of them have turned into smoke. Well, lock up your daughters and start trying to talk sense to them now, or else they’ll be lining up in theaters to see everyone’s least favorite pretty boy battle penguins in Antarctica.

According to Production Weekly, Walker is in serious negotiations to star in a Frank Marshall remake of a 1983 Japanese film. Entitled Antarctica, it’s the true story of two explorers journeying across the frozen continent in search of a meteorite. Their sled dogs get eaten by snow monsters… or something and they are forced to turn back. Should he fool Marshal into thinking he’s a capable actor, Walker will play a National Geographic reporter who takes a break from photographing naked African boobies to follow a rescue team.

The film starts shooting February 21st in Vancouver.
