“Incentives matter and if you can figure out what people’s incentives are, you have a good chance of guessing how they’re going to behave.” That’s how the new documentary Freakonomics defines itself in its opening three minutes, which are now available for you to watch right here on Cinema Blend.

It begins by proving, rather convincingly, that even though most people assume real estate agents have their best interested in mind, they don’t. Since they get a commission you might believe that their interests and yours are aligned, that by selling your house at the best price they benefit themselves since they earn a commission on it. But is that true? Here’s the answer in the opening scene of Freakonomics.

Freakonomics starts playing in limited release this weekend and the early word is that not only is it utterly fascinating, but entertaining as well. Four complete clips from the film. You’ll recognize Morgan Spurlock’s segment instantly, his narration is unmistakable.
