Early word on The Fighter is that, if nothing else, it may earn Christian Bale an Oscar nomination for another one of those signature, Christian Bale, full commitment performances. So it should be no surprise that when they got around to releasing clips to promote the film, the movie’s marketing team has focused on dramatic, amazing performances rather than guys getting punched in the face.
