Watch George Clooney Run In The First Clip From Alexander Payne's The Descendants
If you think it's hard being a Paul Thomas Anderson, Quentin Tarantino or Wes Anderson fan and waiting for their next feature film to come out, imagine how hard it's been for admirers of Alexander Payne's work. Though he's been directing movies since 1996, he only has four features on his resume and hasn't made a film since 2004's Sideways (to put it in perspective, Terrence Malick, another famously deliberate filmmaker, put out The New World in 2005). After more than half a decade Payne is finally ready to comeback and he's doing so with The Descendants, a comedy featuring George Clooney, Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard, Rob Huebel, Beau Bridges and many more. The film isn't due out until December 16, but today we get our first look at the film.
Fox Searchlight has set up the website www.who-is-he.org, which features a short scene from the film featuring Clooney running to his neighbors' house to ask a question: who is he? In the film, Clooney plays a man who feels the need to reconnect with his two daughters after his wife is in a boating accident. The clip doesn't provide much in the way of plot and the rest of the website simply offers the ability to Tweet and Facebook the address to your followers and friends, but it's at least a taste of something from Alexander Payne. Check out the clip below and head over to www.who-is-he.org to see the full site. |
