Watch Loki Step Out On The Set Of The Avengers In Full Costume

Thor isn't one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, but if it did have one truly outstanding element it was Tom Hiddleston's performance as Loki. Instead of being your typical cackling comic book villain, the God of Mischief's closest counterpart is Iago from Shakespeare's Othello - a smart, devious individual whose anger is fed by jealously - and Hiddleston played it perfectly. If you couldn't already tell by my enthusiasm, I was ecstatic when it was finally revealed that Loki would be the central villain of The Avengers. This past weekend I was lucky enough to be present at Disney's 23 Expo where they showed the first footage from the superhero team-up film, which featured plenty of the antagonist, but for those that weren't at the convention and wish to see what his character looks like roaming around the set, check out the video below.

It's not as exciting as Thor and Captain America fighting baddies in mo-cap suits, but it still pretty badass. While the video simply begins with Loki, in full costume, walking out of a hotel to talk with a guy in a suit, those who stick around will see a great number of screaming people running past Loki while he calmly strolls away. What exactly did Loki do in the hotel lobby that freaked all of those people out? Who is the man he's talking to? So many questions that won't be answered until next May.
