Watch Rupert Grint And Emma Watson Awkwardly Film Their Big Harry Potter Kiss
It's only been a few months since Pottermania ended for good, with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but there's actually one more big media blitz to get through: the movie's release on Blu-ray on November 11 this year. Because the people who market the Harry Potter movies do their job better than just about anybody, the push has already started, including this new clip from the behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray that shows Rupert Grint and Emma Watson sharing Ron and Hermione's long-awaited kiss. The actors have talked openly about how nervous they were, and boy can you ever see it below. Check out the lack of sexual tension below.
Of course, they're both actors, so you can't feel too sorry for them as they both do their jobs. But Grint and Watson, along with Daniel Radcliffe, have grown up together, and what started as a friendship as children didn't seem to blossom into romance the way it did for Ron and Hermione. There's a lot of things these kids have put up with over the course of their Harry Potter careers, from working with extensive CGI to giving up any privacy in their teenage years, that I don't think I could handle, and kissing a boy I've known half my life sounds pretty tricky as well. Production on the Harry Potter has always been rigorously documented-- they know they can sell a lot of Blu-rays packed with all those bonus features-- so expect a lot more insight where this came from when the Blu-Ray is released on November 11. |
