Watch The Wayne Family Get Murdered In Batman v Superman

Well, folks. It happened again. Thomas and Martha Wayne have been shot. It's happened many, many times over the years, but now Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has recorded its own version - and you can get an early glimpse of the scene right now.

Instagram user Dan Marcus, who yesterday brought us set photos of the infamous theater where the Waynes are killed in the comics, has recorded a video of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice production in action - specifically filming the scene where Thomas and Martha Wayne are shot dead by a mugger right in front of young Bruce Wayne's eyes. It's this event that puts the young boy on the path towards becoming the Gotham City vigilante known as Batman. The video was posted in two parts, and you can see the second half below:

This scene leaves us with many questions, but the one that first comes to mind is regarding the identities of the actors playing the Wayne family. Reports were never confirmed, but back in August a portrait of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (or at least someone who looks a lot like him) was spotted on set, and there were rumors that he could be playing Thomas Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Unfortunately, this video is far too blurry and taken from too far away to see who is playing the role.

The second big question that comes to mind is how this version of the Wayne murder will actually fit into Zack Snyder's new film. Obviously it's going to be a flashback, but presumably the script isn't just throwing it in for the hell of it. Presumably we will see this scene unfold as Ben Affleck's Batman is thinking back on this horrific scenario, but what spurs it?

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently filming in Chicago, though it's assumed that production is nearing completion (both because they've been shooting for so long and because they need to edit the damn thing. The finished cut will be in theaters on March 25, 2016, and if feel emotionally stable enough to, you can watch a montage of Batman's parents getting murdered on Page Two...
