We’re only a few weeks away from Watchmen hitting theaters. It’s taken several false starts and a major multi-studio feud to get the movie to screens, and I’m pumped to finally see the best graphic novel of all time brought to the big screen. I’m even re-reading the original material in anticipation of the movie.

I know there’s been a lot of griping from die-hard fans about changes to the story, but I refuse to pass judgment on the movie until I see it in its entirety. Still, it’s hard not to get really excited when clips like this one shows up online. The clip connects several of the brief shots we’ve seen in trailers, as the second incarnations of Nite Owl (Patrick Wilson) and Silk Spectre (Malin Akerman) fly in on the Owlship to rescue a group of people trapped in a burning building.

This clip really does feel like the graphic novel brought to life. I have to be honest - I’d expect nothing less than that from Zack Snyder, who gave 300 a similar treatment. If clips like this are any indication, Watchmen looks to be an incredible adaptation, changes or not.

UPDATE: Of course, as soon as I got ready to post this, we found a slew of other video clips online at a variety of locations. We’ve done our best to link to them (and embed them when possible) below, but you might want to check out The Movie Box for a fully comprehensive list of video footage online.
