Watchmen Injunction May Come Even Sooner![]()
What idiot thought that Inauguration Day would be a good day to settle the debate between Warner Bros. and Fox over whether or not Watchmen gets to be released? Oh, I guess the same idiot who made the decision on Christmas Eve. But Warner Bros., the only people who seem to have any sense in this whole debacle, are asking Judge Gary A. Feess to move the date up to as soon as Monday-- you know, so they'll have more than a month to market this gigantic movie they spent years making.
The Hollywood Reporter has another article spelling out the whole thing, if you still have the patience to pay attention and do anything other than banging your hands, demanding your Nite Owl NOW. What you need to know is that there will be a "status conference" on Friday to determine when the hearing will take place; the hearing will decide whether or not there will be an injunction against Warner Bros., which means-- you guessed it-- no movie. If I didn't have to report on this nonsense for my job, I would have the covers over my head chanting "Minutemen Minutemen Minutemen" until the movie finally gets released. Because what else can we do? Anyway, keep your ears tuned on Friday, because maybe one bit of good news for Warner Bros. could finally turn this whole mess around. |
