Wayne Wang To Direct An Albert Einstein Biopic![]()
I'm not normally gung-ho on biopics, probably because I love the History Channel so much, but there are certain people fascinating enough to watch in any capacity, whether that be historical footage or fictionalized portrayal. Albert Einstein is one of those people. With a brilliant intellect and a somewhat goofy celebrity persona, the world-changing scientist was truly an original, and that originality is about to be celebrated in Wayne Wang's new film.
According to Deadline, the Joy Luck Club director has teamed with Rain Man scribe Ron Bass to put together the most exhaustive film on the Nobel Prize winning physicist to date. Titled Einstein, it will trace his journey from childhood issues with dyslexia to the strain his celebrity put on his personal life. Along the way, it'll also delve into his relationships with women, persecution by the Nazis and his lifelong love of music. No one has yet to be cast to play the enigmatic personality, but the search is expected to start within a few weeks. Shooting will take place throughout Europe, and pre-production is expected to start alongside casting. |
