I just finished reading Alan Moore’s comic, now bound into a graphic novel “Watchmen” so of course now I count myself an authority on the subject. For instance, having glanced at the back cover of the book I can share this little nugget with you: Alan Moore is one scary lookin mofo. Mofo is not a word I use lightly.

I think I kind of get why people are so hyped about the project now, though really “Watchmen” is basically a much grittier, darker, more disturbed version of The Incredibles. Clearly Brad Bird must have read it. For the record, I like Bird’s version a lot better. But that doesn’t mean this can’t be pretty cool too.

So, I’m keeping a close eye on the Watchmen movie official site. For a few weeks there’s been nothing there but a smiling face dripping in blood. Today, they finally made an update. Granted, it’s not much of an update, but it is an update so it is my duty to pass it along to you.

The Watchmen official site has been updated with a message board for fans to discuss the upcoming movie and two wallpapers, featuring nothing more than the aforementioned yellow smiley. Exciting I know. Check it out here.
