The main reasons it took me 5 ½ years to graduate from college were college football and Doom style video games. Football made me want to stay in school forever while Doom made my grades look as if it would take me forever to get out.

Andrzej Bartkowiak, besides desperately needing a vowel, will bring Doom from the computer screen to the big screen! Who’s writing it? Who cares. Ok the guy in the back with the “Will write screenplay for food” sign does. Dave Callaham and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura are penning the video game classic.

The best news so far could be the stars! Duane “The Rock” Johnson will star but so will Karl Urban (Eomer from The Lord of the Rings). Urban will portray John Grimm, “a futuristic special ops soldier named John Grimm. Grimm confronts the demons unleashed from a scientific experiment on Mars that's gone awry, and in the course of the film the character will also confront the organization that's responsible for his parents' death.” ( credit Cinescape. )
