Weaver Finally Ready To Bust Ghosts Again![]()
The road to a fully realized Ghostbusters 3 has been a rocky one over the past year, but it's starting to look like everything is falling into place. There was a short list of people that were reluctant to get on board for the sequel to the now-26-year-old franchise who could have torpedoed the idea entirely.
First Peter Venkman himself, Bill Murray, wasn't into the idea, then we were hearing that Ivan Reitman wasn't going to return to direct. The world of geekdom was upside down until each of these crucial players signed on to the project which according to Reitman will “hopefully start shooting this year.” Sigourney Weaver is the next big piece of the puzzle, and at first she showed absolutely no interest in being a part of this. But now according to Digital Spy, Weaver taken a more positive attitude. "I haven't read the script but you know, why not? I don't know any details actually but I'm looking forward to reading it. It'll be fun." As the yin to Bill Murray's yang, it would have been a very different movie without Dana Barrett around to keep Venkman grounded. Now all we're waiting for is to hear that the elusive and long retired Rick Moranis will reprise his role as Louis Tully and round out the entire cast. We'll let you know if/when that happens. |
