The ensemble cast of Paper Man has just gained another actor in bloom. Hunter Parrish will join Ryan Reynolds and Lisa Kudrow in the Jeff Daniels vehicle. The young actor has most recently been seen in the musical “Spring Awakenings,” and Weeds and will be in the upcoming Zac Effron film, 17 Again.
Paper Man will follow an unpublished novelist (Daniels) who reaches middle age. Said novelist is befriended by a young high schooler (Emma Stone), who guides him in his dramatically humorous second adolescence. THR reports that Parrish will play the girl’s boyfriend. Other supporting characters include the middle-aged man’s wife and imaginary superhero friend. Michelle and Kieran Mulroney are set to direct.
This film sounds like the Noah Baumbach version of Meet Bill, plus an imaginary friend. Stay tuned for updates.
