Weekend Box Office - America's Just Not That Into Anything Else![]() Critics just weren't into He's Just Not That Into You, but lest they miss a chance to see Jennifer Aniston in a hot love scene with Ben Affleck, America handed over $27 million at the box office to make it the number one film this weekend. Back in the sixties and seventies when Pink Panther films were comedies, not travesties, they also had notable sequel names. These days the pink sequel titles are just as unimaginative as the sequels themselves and, finally, America is starting to notice. Pink Panther 2 opened $8 million lower than its predecessor for a fourth place total of $12 million. Meanwhile Coraline banked $16 million, an opening total better than The Night Before Christmas but not as impressive as The Corpse Bride. Regardless of who you think is a better filmmaker, in the financial realm Tim Burton rules the neo-claymation club. There was no telekinetic energy to give Push a...well...push. At $10 million it was the only new release this week that couldn't top the nearly month old Paul Blart.
