Weekend Box Office - Apocalypto

discussioncomments published: 2006-12-11 00:00:00 Author: Scott Gwin

With Christmas only two weeks away it makes sense that a holiday schmaltz flick, no matter how snooze-worthy, would perform moderately well. But this weekend it wasn't good enough to top Mel Gibson's Apocalypto which took the number one spot. No doubt that had more than a few of his Jewish detractors a little steamed up. And to rub salt in the wound Chanukah is only six days away.
