Wes Craven is still presumably going to direct the original cast in Scream 4, now that the producers have gone to all the trouble of getting them all on board. But there might be another project getting in the way first. Bloody Disgusting is reporting that Craven is considering directing a horror film called Sunflower, about a woman abducted by her professor and forced to "play a part in his twisted world."

Craven's attachment to the project at this point is pretty much nonexistent, as he's just interested, and presumably he could knock out Scream 4 before taking this on. Horror fans will probably just be delighted that one of the original masters is still working so much; so long as he can put himself fully into Scream 4, is anyone seeing a downside to this?
