What Not To Watch This Valentine's Day Weekend

What Not To Watch This Valentine's Day Weekend Hey guys! What's more romantic than going to the movies on Valentine's Day? Pretty much everything. If you've completely failed to come up with anything better than taking the love of your life to the theater, hopefully you had the foresight to buy advance tickets to the only remotely romantic movie in theaters. Your worst nightmare will be getting there to discover that it's sold out and you're going to have to take her to a sleepy piece of crap like Jumper [Read The CB Review].

Definitely, Maybe [Read The CB Review] isn't just the only new romantic comedy out there, it's also the only decent date flick, period. Well, unless you're a high school freshman whose date is just dying to see Step Up 2 The Streets[Read The CB Preview]. The shameless and silly sequel to the Channing Tatum drool fest will no doubt draw a huge young teen crowd, but there's too much competition for it to make the top three.

If you're out for some family fun instead, you're in luck. The Spiderwick Chronicles [Read The CB Preview] offers up some fantasy action fare that most of the family can love. The PG rating may mean things are bit too intense for the youngest members of the clan, but if a night out as a group is on your Valentine's agenda, you're good to go.

And then there's Jumper. They say that 6 million couples a year break up on Valentine's Day, and I'd hazard a guess this year some of those break-ups will be happen because the guy drags his girlfriend to see this movie. Unless she's a die-hard Hayden Christensen fan who loves to see his bare chest no matter how dull his acting might be, she just might dump you on the way out of the theater.

For the safe route, treat her to something that says you love her. Maybe take her to a nice dinner, buy her some nice flowers, or if you can afford to help stimulate the economy a little, pick up some nice jewelry. However, if you must go to the movies, get to Definitely, Maybe. It's my bet for number one this Valentine's Weekend, and your best bet for a cinematic Valentine that won't make her cringe.
