Odds are that When in Rome is just another formulaic rom-com but Kristen Bell is so irresistibly cute, it’s hard not to root for this thing to be more than the sum of its parts. At least the plot involves more than the usual “girl wants a man”. Ok there is some of that but there are also magic coins! And shirtless Dax Shepherd. Ok, maybe we’d all be better off without shirtless Dax. But magic coins!
