All the excitement over Morgan Spurlock’s next documentary Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden? seemed to drop off almost immediately after Sundance when everyone figured out the rumors that he’d actually found Osama weren’t true and that they were probably just a lame marketing gimmick. Worse, the movie got pretty scathing reviews, including one from me here.
It’s safe to say that nobody is taking Morgan Spurlock seriously anymore. The movie’s incredibly goofy; it’s like one, long, lame, parody joke. Which I guess makes the film’s first poster pretty appropriate. It’s all a big gag, with Spurlock doing some sort of weird Indiana Jones impression on the one sheet. Take a look:
