Even though it’s floating around out there on the internet somewhere, we can’t show you the brand new Avatar trailer. If we do, there’s a pretty good chance that by Friday we’ll be a wholly owned by Fox’s lawyers. Don’t worry, it should be here soon. While you wait, a brand new, in-depth, 4-minute featurette on Avatar has hit the internet and we think (hope) it’s safe to show you that.

The video embedded below talks a lot about how James Cameron came up with the idea and envisioned the world of Pandora. Perhaps it’s a response to the resurfacing of those rumors that the whole thing is a big ripoff of someone else’s work. Whatever their reason for producing this, it includes tons of new footage and great interviews with all the actors involved. If you’re at all excited about Avatar, then you have to watch:
