White House Down Teaser Posters Want To Steal Olympus Has Fallen's Thunder
Olympus Has Fallen is celebrating a pretty stellar weekend at the box office, coming in a respectable second place against The Croods and making $30 million in a single weekend, the best opening star Gerard Butler has had since 300. Now there's another thriller about terrorists taking over the White House that's trying to get attention for itself, and somewhat boldly, it's doing its best to steal the thunder from the competition.
What you see at the top of this post is one of three new teaser posters for White House Down, the thriller that has Channing Tatum as the one guy who can rescue the President (Jamie Foxx) when the White House is taken hostage. The posters debuted at Moviefone, and it's only the beginning of the thunder-stealing they have planned, with two more exclusive images scheduled to debut there plus the first trailer showing up tomorrow at 7 pm EST. We'll actually be on hand to get an early look at it tomorrow afternoon, so you can check back here for all the details even before the trailer drops. In the meantime, check out the two other posters below:
With Channing Tatum doing his best John McClane in a tattered white tank top, spectacle master Roland Emmerich making things huge behind the camera and Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke bringing his best menace as the bad guy, we have no problem finding room to love two White House hostage thrillers this year. White House Down comes to theaters June 28; for an advance look at the chemistry between leads Tatum and Foxx, check out this ridiculous and very funny appearance the two made after the Oscars on Jimmy Kimmel Live:
