Who's Living Next To The Spy Next Door?![]()
Jackie Chan is getting some unlikely company for his upcoming movie. Admittedly, I wouldn’t have instantly picked Chris Tucker or Owen Wilson to act alongside the kung-fu artist, and those have worked out pretty well in the past, but the cast of his next movie, The Spy Next Door, just might put Chan in the most bizarre crowd yet.
First of all, the plot of the movie puts Chan acting opposite several young kids, with Chan playing a neighbor who is asked to babysit and then finds himself forced to protect one of the kids after they accidentally download a secret code. Beyond the kids though, The Hollywood Reporter announced that now George Lopez (Beverly Hills Chihuahua), Amber Valetta (Transporter 2), Katherine Boecher (Crossroads), and Billy Ray Cyrus (Hannah Montana) have joined the cast as well. That’s right - a comedian, an action actress, a dramatic actress, and the creator of the “Achy-breaky heart.” How diverse a crowd can you get? Most of the cast will be playing secret agents of some sort or another, with Cyrus and Lopez in the CIA and Boecher playing a Russian operative. I can only imagine this is going to be more of a comedic flick than a big kung-fu spy picture. |
