It looks like James Bond is going to be hunting for new tunes. The theme song for the next movie, Quantum of Solace, is back up for grabs. Previously it was reported that current bad-girl of music Amy Winehouse was working on a tune for the movie. Now the same source that broke the story, Entertainment Weekly says Winehouse is a no-go for the Bond flick.
According to Winehouse’s producer, Mark Ronson, Winehouse is in no shape to record any music right now, following her continued string of problems with drugs and legal battles. Apparently the idea of her even proceeding on a song for the movie would take ”some miracle of science.” That’s exactly the words of praise you like to read from your producer in the press.
So, strike out Winehouse for the Bond flick. Fortunately, the initial reports that the musician was working on a Bond theme as accompanied with word that she wasn’t the only person trying for the gig. Hopefully one of the other more anonymous contenders will be able to pull off a soundtrack without a miracle of science.
