Winnie The Pooh Advertises His Return To Theaters With A New Trailer
Disney is bringing Winnie the Pooh back to theaters next summer in an all new adventure which, well, looks a lot like his old adventure. The hand-drawn filmís first trailer has arrived and while itís pretty effective, I canít quite shake the feeling that Iíve seen this before. It seems much like the original. In fact if Disney hadnít sent me a press release telling me this is a new Winnie the Pooh, Iíd have assumed this was just a re-release of the 1966 Winnie the Pooh.
So whatís the difference? Iím not entirely sure. Maybe itís supposed to be familiar, maybe theyíre trading on nostalgia here, to get people interested. If so, this trailerís incredibly effective. It does that well. Itíll bring back fond memories for anyone who grew up with Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too in their lives. Take a look:
You definitely canít say they havenít been faithful to the spirit of the classic Pooh stories we all remember. Winnie the Pooh arrives in theaters July 15, 2011. I know, summer seems like a strange time to release a film like this, but there you have it. For more on Winnie the Pooh visit the Blend Film Database.
