Winstone And Thewlis Added To London Boulevard![]()
William Monahan, who probably wishes people would stop mentioning that he wrote Kingdom of Heaven and hopes that in the future his screenplay for The Departed will eventually somehow erase it from his resume, is set to direct his first movie. It’s called London Boulevard and like The Departed it’s a crime drama.
This one takes place in London, of course, and stars Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell. It revolves around a new parolee (Farrell) who gets involved with an actress (Knightley). No word on when it’s set, but since Keira Knightley’s in it you can bet it’ll be set far enough back that she can wear some sort of hat. Farrell and Knightley have actually been on board but this morning Variety reports that they’ve also added Ray Winstone, David Thewlis, and Anna Friel to the cast. Winstone will play an ex-crime boss, while the underrated Thewlis will be Knightley’s “agoraphobic” manager, and Friel is Farrell’s sister. |
