Wolverine Slices His Way On To The Cover Of Entertainment Weekly
By the time James Mangold's The Wolverine will be released in July it will be the third superhero movie of the summer, having arrived after both Shane Black's Iron Man 3 and Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, but that in no way dulls our excitement to see the film. The trailer that arrived yesterday, which finally put the titular mutant in action against the powerful Silver Samurai, was thrilling and stylish, and keeping our anticipation high. And now we have the cool new magazine cover from Entertainment Weekly you see above to add to the mix.
Following their summer movie preview issue, which gave us new looks at the aforementioned Superman movie, 300: Rise of An Empire and R.I.P.D. as well as new details about the development of Justice League, the magazine has released a look at their next bit installment, showcasing Hugh Jackman back as the clawed mutant of the X-Men franchise. They also have a few new quotes from the star in their write-up, so head over there to check it out.
Based on a script by Christopher McQuarrie that was rewritten by Mark Bomback, The Wolverine is set after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand and finds Logan traveling to Japan where he is offered an incredible opportunity: a chance to end his own immortality. Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Svetlana Khodchenkova co-star in the film, which will be in theaters on July 26th. And for a refresher course, you can rewatch yesterday's trailer below.
