As the Weekly Blend Audio Show pointed out this week, there aren't many releases left in the holiday season that have us particularly excited, and that includes The Day The Earth Stood Still. Perhaps 20th Century Fox knows it, and that's why they've decided to show the first trailer for X-Men: Origins before Keanu Reeves's latest.

The kicker, as reported by ComingSoon.net, is that the trailer won't be available online until a good while afterward, meaning the X-Men diehards really may show up on opening night to catch some short glimpses of Wolverine, Deadpool and Sabretooth. Of course, a crappy, pirated version of the trailer will inevitably go online soon after The Day The Earth Stood Still debuts, which will just frustrate those of us looking forward to the next Wolverine movie who don't want to see Keanu's latest attempt to emote. But hey, those of you who come out to see the latest alien attack movie, let us know how it goes-- we'll get our Hugh Jackman in Australia.
