A few months ago, we reported that Woody Allen was considering offering a part in his next movie to France’s first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. It was a reasonable consideration for Allen, since Bruni-Sarkozy is not only a model but has acting experience as well.
Now it seems that Woody has gotten his wish. According to Dark Horizons, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has signed on to play a small role in Allen’s next film, to be set in France. Good ol’ Woody is still finishing up the script, so plot details are still under wraps, even for Carla, who said that Allen refused to tell her what role she would play. She said, “I said, ‘yes.’ I do everything a little bit blindly. If I don't, I won't do anything.” This is not the London-based You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger starring Josh Brolin but the flick that will follow.
Woody seems to get whatever he wants when it comes to actors and actresses. Even when his scripts are subpar (ahem, Scoop), people agree to act in them just to say they worked with the almighty Woody Allen. Imagine if you had that kind of power over hotties like Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, and models like Carla. Oh, what a world to imagine.
