Woody Allen has had great success with his movie Match Point, a film that's been showered with love since being honored at Cannes film festival. He left NYC and shot the film in London, proving that a change of scenery can make all the difference.

According to Zap2It, Woody Allen is about to give another foreign locale a shot: Spain. After wrapping up production on Scoop (another film shooting in the UK), Allen will switch gears and shoot in the land of the Spanish.

Allen made a deal with the production house Mediapro to produce an English-language film, featuring Spanish and international actors in Spain. The arrangement saw the light of day while Allen was in Barcelona playing with the New Orleans Jazz Band (who knew?)

Plot details have not yet been released. Production may begin sometime in 2007.
