New X-Men: Days Of Future Past Set Photo Arrives, Singer Teases Comic-Con Plans

When is a hallway photo not just a hallway photo? How about when you can spot a tiny “X” carved into the floor of the passageway … and you know that the picture has been Tweeted by X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer?

“How many days until @Comic_Con?” the director playfully asks on his busy Twitter feed before posting this picture, which – because of the circular portal at the end of the hallway – strikes me as one of the long hallways in the basement of Xavier’s mansion from Singer’s early X-Men movies. Do you agree?

So the mutant cat is out of the bag, and we now know that Singer and 20th Century Fox plan to have a presence in San Diego for July’s annual Comic-Con event. That makes sense, given the fact that the studio also has The Wolverine coming to theaters at the end of July, so expect Hugh Jackman to dominate the scene as everyone’s favorite razor-clawed warrior. Perhaps Fox will surprise audiences with an early screening of James Mangold’s Wolverine movie?

OK, quick question for you readers: Which comic book movie director, moving forward, will share the most amount of information on Twitter as their anticipated films roll through production – Singer or Marc Webb? Both have shared tantalizing images from their respective sets on Twitter, with Webb recently spilling the beans that FBI agents might be looking for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I’m curious: Do you like directors sharing this amount of behind-the-scenes information? Or are you wary of spoilers in a Twitter pic submitted by a director? Share your thoughts below!
