X-Men: First Class Undergoing Reshoots, But They Won't Delay The Release Date![]()
There tends to be a lot of gray area when it comes to the term "reshoots" in Hollywood. It could mean that there are simply a few shots that the director doesn't like and wants to replace, or it could mean that the most important relationship in the film is a mess. They most certainly should never be seen as an absolute death sentence, so you should hold off on predicting X-Men: First Class as a disaster.
Access Hollywood recently caught up with actor Edi Gathegi, who plays Darwin in the upcoming Matthew Vaughn film, who revealed that the next X-Men movie has decided to do some reshoots, though "the bulk of the movie is done and they're sticking to their release date." In spite of this, Gathegi seems confident in the film and its crew, saying "I have faith in it, I have faith in the filmmakers, I think the script is great and the director's great and the actors are great, its going to be a good X-Men." While I'm not at all ready to go fire and brimstone on the project, the last two X-Men movies have been truly terrible and I can't say that the first look at the cast is inspiring. I love a great comic book adaptation and I'm still hoping that they this will be one, but I'd be lying if I were to say that my expectations are high. Check out the full interview with Gathegi about the project below. |
