For a while it looked like we had run out of steam on the trend of adapting any children's fantasy book into a movie-- Inkheart pretty much bombed, after all, and the Harry Potter movies can only inspire so many knockoffs. But just when we thought it was dead, Tom Trueheart comes to prove once again that, if you have an idea for a movie about kids having magical adventures, it will probably get made.
Trueheart will be based on the trilogy of books about a boy who follows his older brothers into the Land of Stories. THR reports that Freelight Prods. and David Uslan have picked up the rights to all three books, the last of which has yet to be written by author Ian Beck.
