Zach Galifianakis Posing As An Exorcist For Miracle Workers![]()
OK, first of all, don't get confused. The play The Miracle Worker, which was turned into a movie that won Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft Oscars, is returning to Broadway this year with Abigail Breslin and Alison Pill. But the Miracle Workers that Shock Til You Drop is writing about today has nothing to do with Helen Keller or Broadway at all. It's a horror movie in progress over at Overture, in which Zach Galifianakis plays an exorcist.
Not a real exorcist, mind you-- it's a buddy comedy in which a guy and his friend pose as exorcists, until a real ghoul rears its ugly head. And Galifianakis is merely attached to the film, which means a million things could get in-between this article and the movie actually existing. Galifianakis has been juggling dozens and dozens of offers ever since The Hangover blew up big, and he's already got another buddy comedy on his plate, Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. Miracle Workers sounds like a clever twist on the usual buddy movie premise, but isn't it a little similar to what Galifianakis is known for already? We'll be keeping on eye on how this develops. |
