When people watched Zach Galifianakis in last year's The Hangover, they likely had two thoughts: "this guys is absolutely hilarious" and "I'd love to see this character again." But while Will Ferrell is pegged as the petulant man-boy and Vince Vaughn constantly plays the smarmy jackass, it looks as though Galifianakis is trying to develop some depth.

Yahoo! has premiered the first trailer for It's Kind of a Funny Story, and while Galifianakis' character is a mental patient, it appears to be a different kind of crazy than what we saw when he played Alan Garner. Rounding out the cast is Keir Gilchrist, Aasif Mandvi, Lauren Graham, Viola Davis, Zoe Kravitz and Emma Roberts. The movie looks like your typical quirky independent comedy, but it seems to have enough heart to back it up.
