Kevin Smith’s next movie is inching closer to being in front of your eager eyeballs. He announced on his official site last week that Zack and Miri Make a Porno had wrapped on filming. The final scene to go in front of his cameras involved an exterior shot at Zack’s job, one which required snow. Apparently God is also a Kevin Smith fan (probably because of Dogma), since the weather cooperated by dumping real snow on them and letting them save the fake stuff. So if you see Seth Rogen shiver, that’s not acting. He’s really that cold.

With the wrap of filming, it looks like the movie now has a release date as well. Box Office Mojo says Weinstein has it set for release on October 31st of this year. Zack and Miri for Halloween? Doesn’t exactly seem like a natural fit to me. Have fun competing with the latest, awful Saw movie Kev.

In a strange twist, it also looks like Kevin has bought into the whole “let’s keep fans out of the loop” paranoia which has recently swept through the rest of Hollywood. Being Kevin though, he’s unable to keep from talking about it a little bit. But he does admit that he’s intentionally remaining more tight-lipped about this one that he normally does. He says, “There’s no conspiracy behind it, really; I just wanna try something different this time. I want folks to discover the flick for themselves, instead of me jamming it down their throats.” What if we like having you jammed down our throats sir? How dare you.
