A Ton Of Awesome Women Join Forces For You Again

This weekend it is very likely that Disney will have a big hit with The Proposal, a romantic comedy in which some shenanigans ensue, and Betty White plays a wisecracking grandmother. And since you can't really have a sequel to a romantic comedy, Disney figures they'll just do their best to replicate the formula for the next hit.

And thus we will have You Again, a romantic comedy in which some shenanigans will occur, and Betty White will play a wacky grandma! White just signed on to the film, according to THR, along with Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth, Odette Yustman and Victor Garber. They'll all fit into a story about a woman (Kristen Bell) who finds out her brother is marrying her high-school nemesis (Yustman), and tries to stop things from proceeding from there.

Sounds like a pretty familiar situation-- My Best Friend's Wedding slightly cracked-- but also a potentially promising one. At the very least, it's got a fantastic cast, with Sigourney Weaver tossed in to play Bell's rich aunt. I love it when a bunch of funny women get to dominate a movie, even if it's one so explicitly aimed toward women and women alone. Hopefully this one will live up to the immense potential of its cast.
