Back To The Future Invades Real Life In Improv Everywhere Stunt
November 5th is an important date for those that celebrate Guy Fawkes Day, but it's also a significant one for Back To The Future fans. It was on this day in 1955 that Marty McFly, with the assistance of Doc Brown and his amazingly modified DeLorean, landed back in time and began an adventure that had him meeting younger versions of his parents and accidentally threatening his own existence. Fortunately this day isn't being "celebrated" with an announcement of a remake or sequel, but instead we have the latest video from the folks at Improv Everywhere, who have used Back To The Future as inspiration for their latest stunt.
Of course, this is far from the first example of fan love for Back To The Future that we've seen. Have you ever watched "Great Scott" - which tells the entire story as a Broadway musical?
How about this fan-sponsored restoration of the famous DeLorean time machine?
And what about this couple who made their engagement photos Back To The Future themed?
Sadly, we are still a couple years away from the real Back To The Future celebration. October 21, 2015 is the date that Marty, Doc, and his girlfriend Jennifer actually went into the future in the first sequel, and as a result introduced us to some of cinema's greatest futuristic inventions. Self-tying laces! Hoverboards! Dehydrated pizza! Holofilms! It's somewhat hard to believe that all of those things will be available to us in less than two years... but Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale wouldn't have lied to us, right?
