Betsy Brandt Joins Magic Mike, Plus Set Photos Of Alex Pettyfer Going Shirtless![]()
It seems that Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike has finally cast the maximum amount of beefcakes legally allowed to be in a single film. Production on the movie, which you may know as the "Channing Tatum male stripper movie," has begun in Los Angeles, and while there are still cast members signing on, it doesn't appear anyone else is being drafted to take off their shirts. Hollywood Reporter writes that Betsy Brandt, known for her role on Breaking Bad, has joined the Magic Mike cast in an unspecified role.
But if you're worried this update is too light on the male eye candy, I've got you covered. Celeb Buzz (as spotted by Film Drunk, snagged some photos of Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyer-- who plays the younger, fictionalized version of Tatum in the movie based on his own life story-- exiting their trailers on set, and you can pretty much guess how little clothing they're wearing. Since Pettyfer is the one doing the stripping, he seems to be cut from marble, while Tatum appears as his usual buff shirtless self. Take a look below. ![]() To get back to Betsy Brandt for a minute-- she may not be the biggest name in the cast, which also includes Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer and Joe Mangianello, and doesn't seem to be playing the biggest part. But I keep thinking of Jennifer Ehle in Soderbergh's latest film Contagion, and the way the lesser known actress completely stole the film from her more famous co-stars. I'm not sure how anyone will be able to steal Magic Mike away from all the male flesh on display, but come on Betsy Brandt, we're counting on you anyway. |
