It feels like only yesterday that Joseph Gordon-Levitt announced his directorial debut, but now it's actually almost done. The dark comedy, titled Don Jon's Addiction, was first announced back in February, along with the casting of Scarlett Johansson, and even prevented the young filmmaker from playing a role in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained. Now, however, the project is close to wrapping production, but not before a new actor late in game.

Variety is reporting that Brie Larson, who was seen earlier this year in the hilarious comedy 21 Jump Street, has signed on for a part in the movie. Gordon-Levitt stars in the story and sees his sex/porn addicted character undergo a major life change after meeting a recently widowed woman, played by Julianne Moore. Rob Brown, best known for his role as Delmond Lambreaux on HBO's Treme, also has a part in the movie and Tony Danza is playing Gordon-Levitt's father. Also part of the family will be Brie's character, as she plays the protagonist's sister.

Brie has a good number of projects coming up later this year. She is next set to star in The Spectacular Now alongside Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller, but also has Squirrel to the Nuts - the new Peter Bogdanovich movie - in the wings as well as Relanxious, a new comedy from writer/director Christohper Storer with Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armisen. Gordon-Levitt will next be seen in The Dark Knight Rises, followed by Premium Rush, Looper and Lincoln later this year. Don Jon's Addiction is expected to be released some time in 2013.
