Days Of Future Past Cerebro

Considering that Professor Xavier's Cerebro has actually played an important part in just about every X-Men movie - from being used to find Rogue in Bryan Singer's first film, to being stolen by Colonel Stryker in X2 to being used to find other teammates in X-Men First Class - you'd think that they would just leave a permanent one standing. But instead, they had to build a brand new one for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, and today, as seen in the picture above (courtesy of Singer's Twitter feed), its been completed.

You may remember back in early March when the director first released an image of the set being constructed, but now it would seem that work on the big round room has been completed. What's interesting about Cerebro's presence in the film is that not only do we not know how it will be involved in the plot, we don't even know who will be using it. Is this the Cerebro that James McAvoy's Professor X constructs in the Xavier School, or perhaps the one that Sir Patrick Stewart's Professor X uses in the Sentinel-filled future? It would probably be easier to tell if we got a look at the inside, but it seems Singer is keeping that hidden for now.

X-Men: Days of Future Past, which will also feature Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Sir Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Omar Sy and Peter Dinklage, will be going into production soon, aiming for release on July 18, 2014.
