Check Out Joe Dante's Hole For Two Mintues

Joe Dante is a legend. The man gave us Gremlins, The Howling, and, my personal favorite, The ‘burbs. So why can’t his latest film The Hole land US distribution already? Well, probably because of Small Soldiers and Looney Tunes Back In Action, but come on guys! Joe Dante has given us some genius films and The Hole looks like it’s going to put the director back on track, despite its poster looking like a bad teen superhero movie.

The film does have a UK release of September 24th though and with any luck it will have a good showing across the pond so distributors this side of the Atlantic won’t be so worried about their returns.

UK news organization Sky has just dropped this short two-minute clip but somehow in just two minutes time Dante manages to effectively scare the shit out of viewers. The first trailer for the film didn’t look to be a flat out horror movie, but here we see the true nature of the thing and it’s scary. Master of Horror indeed. Scope out the clip below but probably don’t do it in the dark or if you’re alone. It’s creepy to the max.
