Even though it's coming to theaters next week, the indie comedy The Family Tree is keeping a pretty low profile-- and at this point in the summer, when a lot of distributors try to cast off movies they're not that invested in, it might not be a good sign. Still, the movie stars a lot of people you've heard of like Hope Davis and Dermot Mulroney, and the newly released red band trailer features Mad Men siren Christina Hendricks both complaining about a dildo and receiving some oral attention under a desk at work. I don't care how classy you are, that merits a click. Take a look below.



So, OK, the Christina Hendricks sex stuff might just seem like a gimmick to get you to look at this, but this appears to be a really sex-obsessed movie, with Hope Davis getting a brain injury while role-playing with her neighbor (Chi McBride), then suffering memory loss that inspires her to give her husband (Mulroney) a blowjob while riding a Ferris wheel. There are also teenage characters played by Max Thieriot and Brittany Robinson who are pretty sex-obsessed themselves, and what appears to be a teacher played by Selma Blair who gets caught making out with a another woman in a restroom. That's more than enough hijinks to go around, so even if all the jokes in this trailer seem a little obvious, The Family Tree might be diverting enough to be worth a look anyway. The movie opens in limited release next week, so if you're in a major city keep an eye out for it next Friday.
