The cinematic adaptation for Jonathan Tropperís novel This is Where I Leave You seems to finally be coming together. After a rocky initial try that ended up stalling out, most of the project's star-studded cast moving on to other projects, things have finally been moving in positive directions. While nobody is pre-ordering their theater tickets yet, there is hope for this dysfunctional family yet.

Variety reports actor Corey Stoll has signed on to join the growing cast of the Shawn levy-directed film, which already had Jason Bateman anchoring before Tina Fey signed on to play Batemanís sister. Stoll will reportedly play the Arrested Development star's brother in what could potentially be one of the best ensembles of the year (should this talent streak continue)

Stoll has been a recognizable face on TV for years, first breaking out in Law & Order: LA in 2011 - though he held roles in films such as Salt and Midnight in Paris before that. Most recently, he was seen in The Bourne Legacy and as the drugs-and-hooker-fueled councilman Peter Russo on the Netflix original series House of Cards. Look for him soon in the Liam Neeson-led action flick Non-Stop, and later in the boxing action film Glass Chin.

This is Where I Leave You tells the story of a quirky, estranged family who hasnít been under the same roof in ten years, but is forced to, after their father requests it as his dying wish. I can't imagine Stoll can match up with Fey and Bateman on a comedic level, but itíll be interesting to see how much of the dramatic side hinges on him. Either way, itís a great bit of casting.
