Don Cheadle And Freida Pinto May Land On Planet Of The Apes

Fox has started casting its Planet of the Apes prequel, so I guess that means we have to accept that it’s really happening. Except let’s stop calling it a prequel, that implies they’ve come up with something original to add to the franchise. Planet of the Apes prequels have already been done and this story, the story of the rise of the Apes on Earth, has also already done. This is a prequel remake, which may be even less original than a standard remake.

James Franco is already on board to play the movie’s lead, a scientist who plays a crucial role in the war between humans and apes. Now Bloody-Disgusting says offers are out to Don Cheadle and Slumdog’s Freida Pinto. No word on who they might play in the movie yet, but Frieda would make an uncomfortably sexy monkey. Let’s get her in a two-piece with a tail.
