Late last night we saw the first trailer for Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment in the series. Though it made good use of one of the Daft Punk songs off of the Tron Legacy soundtrack, the trailer was sadly so filled with Sony product placement that Alice and her war against the Umbrella Corporation kind of took a back seat. There was some really cool stuff to see, but it all flew by so quickly that it was actually hard to tell what was going on. Fortunately, Screen Gems has released the first official still for the movie today which captures Milla Jovovich at her most badass.

Resident Evil: Retribution is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and brings together both new names as well as some older ones from the franchise's past. The movie stars Jovovich, Kevin Durand, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Isaacs, Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Jhann Urb, Shawn Roberts and Boris Kodjoe.
