First Trailer For The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Following the release of the colorful, floral new poster for The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel comes a trailer so lush with smile-worthy moments, it’s worth watching twice.

With John Madden (Shakespeare in Love, The Debt) directing, and a cast that consists of Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Judi Dench and Slumdog Millionaire’s Dev Patel a poster covered in colorful flowers and those names would be enough to sell the movie on its own. This trailer gives us a bit more to go on, however, introducing us briefly to the characters, most of whom are in their golden years and looking to settle down in what they believe will be a bit of paradise in India.


My favorite line: “India, like like itself, I suppose, is about what you bring to it.” Based on the trailer, the film looks like it could be charming and inspiring, celebrating the idea of embracing change and living life to the fullest. Between the cast and what we've seen so far, it looks like we have something to look forward to when this film releases next year.

The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel will be released in theaters March 9, 2012.
