First Trailer For Robot And Frank, Starring Frank Langella And Susan Sarandon
New technology and advancing age go together like oil and water. At some point it all just becomes to much to take in, and no matter how user friendly the new tech may be it still may find itself beyond the reach of the elderly. For Frank Langella's character in the upcoming Robot and Frank, however, it isn't that much of a problem. In fact, he's even able to get his mechanical friend to help him pull off a multi-million dollar heist.
A hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival and scheduled to arrive in limited theaters later this summer, Robot and Frank is a new sci-fi comedy from first time feature director Jake Schreier and now the first trailer for the movie has arrived online courtesy of Yahoo! Check it out below!
The story, based on an original screenplay by Christopher D. Ford, is about a man named Frank (Langella) living in the not-to-distant future and trying to cope with a life of retirement, his only joyful times coming while hitting on the local librarian (Susan Sarandon). Noticing that their father is having a rough time adjusting to his new lifestyle, Frank's children, Hunter and Madison (James Marsden, Liv Tyler) decide to buy their father a robot butler to both keep Frank company and help out around the house. As Frank begins to bond with his new friend, however, he begins to realize the potential in the technology and decides to make one last go at his old career as a jewel thief.
