Ghostbusters Headed Back To The Big Screen For Halloween
Ghostbusters is returning to the big screen, and fortunately, not in the form of a remake (yet, anyway). For many of us, spending Halloween in a theater watching three scientists (and one guy willing to believe anything if there’s a steady paycheck involved) bust ghosts around New York City sounds ideal. From the sound of it, we’ll be getting the opportunity to do just that this year.
While the fate of third installment of the Ghostbusters franchise is still up in the air (and possibly moving forward without Bill Murray), the first two films will forever be adored. According to Digital Spy, Ghostbusters is set to be rereleased in theaters for Halloween this year, and as a bonus, it’s been digitally-restored for our viewing pleasure.
Whether or not a good turn-out for the Ghostbusters re-release has any effect on the fate of the third film, who knows? In the meantime, Ghostbusters back on the big-screen and looking digitally spruced up doesn’t sound like a bad way to spend Halloween. Grab your proton pack, thrown on your Ghostbusters jumpsuit and prepare to cross the streams.
Here’s the original trailer for the film.
