Sometimes I find myself amazed by the effect of a good score on a film. If done properly, music can elevate a mediocre film into something watchable and make a good film a great one. Thanks to a collection of incredible composers, including the masterful John Williams, the Harry Potter series has never been lacking in the music department and it would be ridiculous to assume that it will drop the ball with the final two films coming out over the next year. From the looks of recently released behind the scenes footage, it won't.
Warner Bros. has sent over a new clip exploring how composer Alexandre Desplat is crafting the music for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, the soundtrack for which will be released on November 16, three days before the release of the film. Watch the video to find out what foreign influences the composer is hiding in the classical score as well as producers David Barron and David Heyman's comments about the music's development. Also feel free to laugh about how incredibly French the guy is. It's kind of silly. Back to top
